The Police in Rivers State has arrested three members of a vigilante group popularly known as (OSPAC) in Rumuolumini area of Obio Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The state police said it had commenced investigation into the matter.
The three vigilante members were said to have attempted to murder one Clifford Woko, an indigene of the community for allegedly refusing to pay building levy to members of OSPAC.
The state Police Public Relation Officer, SP Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed the incident.
“A report was made in our office that OSPAC members attacked a member of the community and inflicted machete cuts all over his body especially on his back.

We went there to arrest them for investigation and possibly to institute a case of attempted murder charge against them; we arrested three of the members in connection with the allegation, and we have commenced investigations,” Omoni said.
