Renowned Nigerian music sensation Oyinkansola Aderigbigbe, better known as Ayra Starr, has made waves by earning four nominations for the highly anticipated 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards.
The list of nominees was unveiled by the organizers on the 9th of October, 2024, showcasing a stellar lineup.
Ayra Starr’s nominations include prestigious categories such as ‘Best African Act,’ ‘Best Push,’ ‘Best Afrobeats,’ and ‘Best New Artist.’ She will be competing against fellow Nigerian stars Tems, Burna Boy, Asake, and Rema for the coveted ‘Best Afrobeats’ award.
Adding to the excitement, South African artist Tyla has also garnered four nominations, contending in ‘Best New Artist,’ ‘Best Afrobeats,’ ‘Best African Act,’ and ‘Best R&B.’
Leading the pack is American pop icon Taylor Swift, who has secured an impressive seven nominations.
The 30th edition of the MTV Europe Music Awards is set to take place on the 10th of November, 2024, at Manchester’s Co-op Live in the UK, promising an unforgettable night of music and celebration.
