Bala Mohammed Sacks Bauchi Internal Security Commissioner In Cabinet Reshuffle

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has relieved the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Galadima, of his appointment, following a cabinet reshuffle approved by the state government.

The decision was announced in a brief statement issued in the early hours of Monday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, and made available to journalists.

According to the statement, the move forms part of a periodic review of the State Executive Council aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery across Bauchi State.

“His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, has approved a minor change in the composition of his cabinet,” the statement read.

“In that respect, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, has been relieved of his appointment as a member of the State Executive Council with immediate effect.”

Gidado explained that the reshuffle was designed to inject fresh ideas into government, reposition the executive arm for greater efficiency, and ensure more effective implementation of policies and programmes.

Governor Mohammed expressed appreciation to Galadima for his services to the state during his tenure and wished him success in his future endeavours.

He also reassured residents of Bauchi State of his administration’s continued commitment to peace, security and good governance.

The governor’s media aide added that a replacement for the relieved commissioner would be announced in due course.
