Notorious bandit leader, Kachalla Alti, has killed a fellow rival bandit leader, Dankarami Usaini, in the Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
In a statement quoted by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, on Wednesday, the Incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. on Monday, triggering mass displacement as residents fled in fear of reprisal attacks.
According to local sources, the slain 40-year-old, a Hausa native of Matsuki, operated from the Dangajeru forest, where he allegedly extorted residents and targeted those who resisted.
Witnesses said Dankarami had entered the village to collect levies on behalf of Kachalla Alti, who is the younger brother of notorious armed gang leader, Adamu Alero.
