Nigerian banks have restarted the processing of international tuition fee payments using Naira accounts through the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) Form A platform.
Form A is a tool introduced by the CBN to support service-based foreign exchange transactions. It enables customers to access forex at the CBN or interbank rate for eligible services listed in the foreign exchange manual.
This update follows the earlier announcement by commercial banks that Naira cards can now be used again for international transactions.
On Monday, the 28th of July, 2025, GTBank and Lotus Bank informed their customers via email that the service now covers tuition payments for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes abroad.
GTBank’s message stated:
“Pay international tuition fees directly from your Naira account.”
