Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has lost his father, Abraham Diri.
The cause of the death of the octogenarian was unknown as of the time of filing this report.
A statement signed by Jonathan Diri on behalf of the Diri Family of Kalama-Owei Wari in Sampou Community in the Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area, said Pa Diri passed on aged 88 years.
The statement added that Pa Diri was a retired headmaster, devout Christian, and man of exemplary humility.
It further stated, “The Diri family and the entire Sampou community are consoled that our dear brother and father lived a fulfilled life. Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.”
