Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, has cautioned that the Lagos chapter of the party may be heading for another round of internal crisis as it prepares for ward and local government congresses.
In a letter addressed to the National Working Committee (NWC) and circulated to the press, George accused the party’s Deputy National Secretary, Hon. Setonji Koshoedo, of hijacking the distribution of congress nomination forms without consulting established leaders in the state.
George argued that the unilateral action ignored the consensus-building process already initiated by senior stakeholders across local governments.
He described the development as “a recipe for acrimony, mayhem, and potential court cases” if left unchecked.
“It is disturbing that Hon. Koshoedo, who has not been involved in the activities of the party in Lagos, either financially or otherwise, collected the forms and single-handedly decided how they would be distributed,” George wrote.

He alleged that some of the forms were given to individuals who had defected to opposition parties, including the ADC, while loyal PDP figures, among them two life-members of the Board of Trustees, were sidelined.
“Does Koshoedo’s position as a member of the NWC give him the right to appoint leaders in Lagos at his own discretion?” he queried, adding that Koshoedo’s aide, identified as Senyon, was also directly involved in distributing the forms.
George warned that such interference could further fracture the Lagos PDP, a chapter still struggling to recover from its poor performance in the 2023 elections, which he described as the worst in its history.
Calling Koshoedo’s conduct “insulting, unfair, unjust, and unacceptable,” George declared him a political persona non grata in Lagos and urged the NWC to act swiftly to prevent the crisis from deepening.
