Lagos is set to come alive once again as the 6th edition of the Bodex Social Media Hangout (BSMH 6.0), Nigeria’s pioneering digital media and thought-leadership experience, takes centre stage from Friday, November 21 to Sunday, November 23, 2025, exploring the theme “Social Media & A.I Influence: Transforming Yourself, Services & the Society.”
According to the Convener, Bodex Hungbo, this year’s event will span three days across the University of Lagos, Akoka, and Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, bringing together top policymakers, academics, legal experts, creatives, and digital strategists who are shaping Africa’s media and innovation landscape.
“The Bodex Social Media Hangout has become more than just an event — it’s a movement for ethical influence, creativity, and leadership,” Hungbo said.
“This edition will spark critical conversations around how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping personal growth, media practice, and societal development.”
The first day, tagged “The Learning Experience,” will be held at the Distance Learning Institute, UNILAG, featuring in-depth sessions on ethics, education, and youth empowerment in the AI era. Key speakers include Prof. Oloruntola Sunday, Dean, Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, UNILAG; Lady Lola Adey, AI Consultant; Bosun Osifowora, Legal Practitioner; and Dr. Akin Olaniyan, Convener, Centre for Social Media Research.
Day Two, themed “The Influence Experience,” will take place at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, spotlighting A.I-driven innovations in journalism, law, healthcare, and branding. Speakers include Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, Lagos Commissioner for Information & Strategy; Mr. Kayode Akintemi, MD/CEO, News Central TV; Dr. Kelechi Okoro, Founder, Plan Am Well; Dr. Seye Kehinde, Media Entrepreneur; and Mr. Bamidele Olamilekan, Principal Partner, Lekan Bamidele & Co.
The grand finale will feature the Bodex Media Awards, celebrating exceptional individuals and brands leveraging technology and social media for social impact. The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will deliver the keynote address and receive the “Most Friendly Digital Media Governor of the Year” Award.

Other honourees include Dr. Seye Kehinde (Lifetime Media Excellence Award), Denrele Edun (Icon of Influence Award), Kolade Mayowa Bolade (Most Innovative Fashion Entrepreneur), and several others recognized for their creativity, innovation, and ethical influence.
