Gunmen suspected to be bandits have again attacked some communities in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State. They allegedly killed one, injured two and abducted no less than 10 persons.
The attack came barely 24 hours after bandits abducted 41 school students, teachers and family members from Government Science College Kagara.
FirstNews gathered that the communities attacked were Sarkin Zama, Lagbe (Bakin Kogi), Siyiko, Kokki and other adjoining villages. All the attacked communities are located in Gurmana ward of Shiroro LGA.
It was learnt that the attack happened on Wednesday night. The gunmen reportedly stormed the villages in large numbers, heavily armed and operated for hours undisturbed.
It was further learnt that those who sustained injuries had been rushed to Kuta General Hospital, where they are receiving treatment.
