Ijaw national leader and elder statesman, Pa Edwin Clark, has passed away at the age of 97.
His death was confirmed in a statement released by Prof. C.C. Clark on behalf of the family, stating that he died on Monday night.

Clark, a prominent advocate for the Niger Delta and a former Federal Commissioner for Information, was known for his strong stance on national issues, particularly resource control and regional development.
