Nigerian industrialist and BUA Group Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has taken delivery of a Bombardier Global 8000 private jet valued at about $81 million, adding to his corporate aviation fleet.
The development was confirmed on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, when Rabiu shared an image of the aircraft on his Instagram story with the caption: “Alhamdu Lillah. A new addition. Global 8000.”
Industry reports indicate that the aircraft purchase was concluded in December 2025 in Dubai, following a signing involving Bombardier representatives at BUA’s office.

The Bombardier Global 8000 is regarded as the world’s fastest business jet, with a top speed of Mach 0.95 and a range of about 8,000 nautical miles.
The aircraft is designed for ultra-long-haul intercontinental operations, with capability for non-stop flights on routes such as Lagos to New York.
The new aircraft joins BUA Group’s existing aviation assets, including a Challenger 350 and a Global 6500, further strengthening the conglomerate’s executive travel capacity across its expanding international operations.
Rabiu, one of Africa’s wealthiest businessmen, leads BUA Group, a diversified conglomerate with interests in cement production, sugar refining, infrastructure, ports and energy.
