President Muhammadu Buhari Friday on returned to Abuja after attending the 50th Anniversary of the UN Environmental Programme (UNEP) in Nairobi, Kenya.
Nigerians expected that Buhari would be embarking on a two-week medical trip to United Kingdom (U.K.) from Kenya as earlier announced by the presidency.
But the President’s aide on New Media, Bashir Ahmed, in a tweet on his Twitter handle on Friday said, “President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja, after his participation in the 50th Anniversary of the UN Environmental Programme (UNEP) in Nairobi, Kenya”.
It is not yet known why Buhari changed his mind from his initial plan. When this report was filed his media handlers are yet to explain why President Buhari decided to return to Nigeria instead of embarking on his scheduled medical trip to UK.
