Buhari’s Remains Receive Full Military Honours in Katsina

The body of former President Muhammadu Buhari was on Tuesday accorded full military honours upon arrival at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua International Airport in Katsina.

The solemn ceremony, marked by a brief parade and the laying of military protocols, was witnessed by President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, members of the Federal Executive Council, state governors, top military officers, and other dignitaries.

The former president’s remains, flown in from London aboard a Nigerian Air Force aircraft, were received with national reverence before being transported to his hometown, Daura, for internment in accordance with Islamic rites.

Buhari, who passed away at the age of 82 on Sunday, is being honoured with a state burial, reflecting his status as Nigeria’s former military and civilian leader.
