Buhari’s ‘war’ comment empty threat —Nnamdi Kanu

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, on Friday said the war threat issued recently by President Muhammadu Buhari would amount to nothing.

According to him, Nigerians are not with the president on the threat.

President Buhari had on Tuesday said, “Those misbehaving in certain parts of the country were obviously too young to know the travails and loss of lives that attended the Nigerian Civil War.

“Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand. We are going to be very hard sooner than later.”

Buhari issued the threat while condemning the attacks on police stations, correctional facilities and offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission in the South-East.

In his reaction to this, the IPOB leader, on his Twitter handle said:  “You might’ve noticed that these empty THREATS of levying another war against #Biafra is coming exclusively from the Fulanized @NGRPresident and the extremist FULANI ruling class.

“Unlike 1967, they’re alone on this; the rest of Nigeria is not with them. Again, #ThisIsNot1967

“For those suffering from self-induced amnesia or who may have conveniently forgotten how the #Fulani Caliphate put #Nigeria in the beautiful mess it’s in today.

“Most pathetic of all, sponsorship of BH didn’t stop late @MBuhari from being voted into power in 2015.”
