Former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari’s Presidency to call and reconcile with Rev. Fr Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu.
He described Mbaka as a patriot and among those who believe in the unity of the country, saying that he should not be disgracefully pushed to the hands of separatists.
Sani stated this in a post on his verified Twitter handle on Sunday, in response to the crossfire between Mbaka and the Presidency.
Mbaka had in a recent video asked Buhari to either resign or be impeached for perceived failure to address the raging insecurity in the country.
In its reply, the Presidency claimed that Mbaka’s reason for attacking Buhari was because the President refused the cleric’s request to be awarded contracts.
But Sani, faulting the Presidency’s claim, said that even Chinese, Arabs, Jews and Europeans were being awarded contracts under Buhari’s government.
He wrote: “Father Mbaka is a patriot and deserves respect;the President should place a phone call and reconcile with him.
“People who believe in the Unity of this country should not be disgracefully pushed to the hands of separatists. Even Chinese, Arabs, Jews and Europeans are given contracts.”
