Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria, on Sunday, deplored the implementation of the Central Bank of Nigeria cash policy, saying it’s disastrous.
CBCN President, Most Rev. Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji, expressed regrets that the policy which had caused a cash crunch, had added to the ordeal, anger and frustration of the masses.
Ugorji stated this at the opening session of the 2023 First Plenary Assembly of CBCN held at the Catholic Secretariat in Abuja.
The CBCN president expressing sadness over the situation, saying it seemed the Federal Government was overwhelmed with the crisis and the insecurity in the country.
He urged Nigerians to vote wisely in the forthcoming general elections.
