The Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O, has announced the passing of its Spiritual Father, His Most Eminence, Prophet Emmanuel Alogbo, who died at the age of 93.
The church, in a statement released on Thursday by its Secretary-General, Prophet Anthony Olusesan Samaye, said the revered cleric passed away peacefully in the early hours of Thursday at his Lagos residence.
According to the statement, Alogbo breathed his last at about 2:10 a.m., surrounded by members of his family and domestic staff.
The church expressed gratitude to God for what it described as a life of dedicated service, saying the late spiritual leader devoted his years to advancing the Christian faith and serving humanity.
“With gratitude to God Almighty for a life well spent, on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire church, I write to inform you all that our Spiritual Father was called to glory in the early hours of today, July 30, 2026, at about 2:10 a.m.,” the statement read.
As part of activities to honour the late prophet, the church announced that prayer sessions would be held daily for seven days beginning at 5 p.m. at his residence located at Plot 1, Alogbo Close, off Ahmadiyya Bus Stop, Ijaiye-Ojokoro, Lagos.

It added that funeral arrangements would be communicated to members and the public in due course.
The church also urged its members to remain steadfast in faith during the mourning period while praying for God to grant the congregation the strength to bear the loss.
Prophet Alogbo was one of Nigeria’s longest-serving church leaders and headed the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, one of the country’s foremost indigenous Christian denominations.
Throughout his leadership, he was credited with strengthening the church’s spiritual foundation and overseeing its expansion across Nigeria and beyond.
His passing marks the close of a significant chapter in the history of the church, with members expected to gather in the coming days to celebrate his life and legacy.
