Lagos State chapter of the Child Protection Network has mourned its National Coordinator and founder, Mrs. Jennifer Iziegbe Ero who died during a brief illness.
Speaking over the loss, the Lagos State coordinator of the group created by UNICEF initiatives, Aderonke Oyelakin, said the late founder would be missed for the footprint she has left on the sand of time.
She described the fallen heroine as the pillar behind series of various child rights struggles successes recorded in the state for over years.
“Our late National Coordinator lived her life for humanity. She lived to see the right of the children not to be abused. She was a strength to us on this advocacy and by God’s grace we will carry on from where she laid down the baton.
“At this time, her death came as a rude shock to us and we are still saddened by this occurrence. We pray that God will comfort the family and CPN nationally”, Oyelakin said.
Meanwhile, burial arrangement for the late Mrs Ero has been announced by the family.
According to the announcement, the deceased would be buried on Friday, October 22, 2021, in Benin, Edo State.
