Chukwueze Scores Twice as AC Milan Hammer Sassuolo 6-1

Samuel Chukwueze delivered a scintillating performance on Tuesday night, netting twice as AC Milan cruised to a dominant 6-1 victory over Sassuolo in the Coppa Italia.

The Nigerian winger opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a clinical finish, setting the tone for what would become a goal fest at the San Siro.

Tijjani Reijnders doubled the lead just five minutes later with a well-placed shot, before Chukwueze added his second of the night in the 21st minute to make it 3-0.

Rafael Leão continued the first-half rampage, slotting in Milan’s fourth in the 23rd minute to give the Rossoneri an unassailable lead by halftime.

The second half saw AC Milan maintain their dominance, with captain Davide Calabria joining the scoring in the 56th minute to make it 5-0.

Sassuolo’s Samuele Mulattieri pulled one back in the 59th minute, but it was little more than a consolation as Tammy Abraham restored Milan’s five-goal advantage just three minutes later, rounding off the 6-1 rout in the 62nd minute.

Chukwueze’s dazzling display earned him the man-of-the-match accolade, as Milan secured their place in the next round of the competition.

The victory not only underscored the team’s attacking prowess but also showcased the depth of their squad, with multiple players contributing to the emphatic win.

AC Milan will look to build on this commanding performance as they continue their pursuit of silverware on multiple fronts this season.
