Court Order Bars Regina Daniels From Children, Nwoko Says

Senator Ned Nwoko has addressed the growing public concern surrounding his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, saying a court order currently restricts her access to their children pending compliance with specific legal conditions.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, Nwoko said the situation, which has played out on social media in recent days, is deeply painful but legally guided, insisting that the decision was not taken lightly or out of spite.

He explained that the court handling the matter directed that Daniels undergo rehabilitation and an assessment by the Abuja Social Welfare Department before contact with their children can resume.

According to him, the order was issued with the children’s welfare as the primary concern.

“At no point was access to the children denied without cause,” the statement said, adding that the conditions attached to visitation were meant to ensure a safe and stable environment for the children.

Nwoko described some of Daniels’ recent public claims as emotionally charged but misleading, arguing that they overlook the legal process currently in place.

He stressed that the matter remains before the court and should be allowed to run its course without public pressure.

The senator also said he remains concerned about Daniels’ wellbeing, noting that compliance with the court-mandated process would be the fastest path toward restoring access to the children and easing tensions within the family.

The dispute came into public view after Daniels shared emotional posts online, expressing distress over being separated from her children and questioning the circumstances surrounding the restriction.

The situation has since sparked widespread debate across social media, drawing sympathy, criticism and calls for privacy as the legal process continues.
