A Lagos court has sentenced a man, Olukeye Adedayo Olalekan, to 76 years in prison after convicting him on 18 counts of internet-related crimes, including child pornography, sextortion, cyberstalking, and online fraud amounting to ₦721,500.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) disclosed the conviction in a statement on Friday, noting that Justice Alexander Owoeye of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, handed down the sentence on Thursday.
Adedayo, who operated under aliases such as “hrm87,” “charlotte708,” and “harlilott_716,” was found guilty after a full trial that began in June 2024. He had initially pleaded not guilty when arraigned.
One of the charges revealed that the convict used Instagram to set up a group titled ‘Expose Janjua Robin Nudes’ for the distribution of child pornography, a violation of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015.
The EFCC prosecution, led by Bilikisu Buhari, presented two witnesses: Royal Canadian Mounted Police Sergeant Wahid Hamidi and EFCC operative Saidu Yakubu. The court also admitted multiple pieces of evidence linking Adedayo to the crimes.
Justice Owoeye sentenced him to:
Two years each on counts 1 to 4 (child pornography and cyberstalking),

Four years each on counts 5 to 14 (retention of criminal proceeds), and
Seven years each on counts 15 to 18 (obtaining by false pretence).
However, the judge ruled that the sentences would run concurrently, meaning Adedayo will serve a total of seven years behind bars.
The EFCC noted that Adedayo’s arrest followed detailed investigations into his disturbing digital footprint, which included impersonation, fraud, and exploitation of minors online.
The anti-graft agency reaffirmed its commitment to tracking and prosecuting individuals involved in cybercrimes, particularly those that target vulnerable groups.
