Afrobeats superstar Davido has publicly condemned a disturbing viral video showing a bullying incident involving students of Igbinedion Secondary School in Edo State, describing the act as unacceptable and deeply disturbing.
The singer, whose real name is David Adeleke, reacted to the footage on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, expressing outrage over the behaviour captured in the clip.
In his post, he wrote: “F***ing Animals… so disgusting,” drawing widespread attention and renewed calls for accountability.
The viral video, which has circulated widely on social media platforms, shows two male students assaulting another student who was lying on the ground.
In the footage, one of the students is seen dragging the victim by his suit and repeatedly kicking and stomping on him while the boy cries in distress. A third student, who was recording the incident, is heard pleading with the attackers to stop.
The graphic nature of the video triggered public outrage, with many Nigerians demanding disciplinary measures and stronger anti-bullying enforcement within schools.
In response to the incident, school authorities confirmed that swift action had been taken.
According to a statement from the Edo State Police Command, signed by Police Public Relations Officer Eno Ikioedem, the management of the school expelled the students directly involved in the assault.
The student who recorded the video was also suspended.

The statement further revealed that the Commissioner of Police in Edo State, Monday Agbonika, has directed the Divisional Police Officer in the area to conduct a detailed investigation into the matter.
Authorities said investigations have commenced and assured the public that those found culpable would face prosecution in accordance with the law, taking into consideration their respective ages.
“The Edo State Police Command totally condemns acts of bullying, violence, or intimidation among students, and anyone found culpable will be dealt with in accordance with the law,” the statement read.
The incident has reignited discussions about student safety, discipline, and the need for stronger preventive measures against bullying in schools.
Education stakeholders and members of the public have continued to call for stricter enforcement of policies that protect students from violence and promote safer learning environments.
As investigations proceed, authorities say further updates will be communicated to the public.
