Renowned Afrobeat artist Davido has clarified that he and Wizkid have no conflicts between them.
He shared this insight while discussing the reasons behind their recent hangout prior to the release of his Timeless album in 2023.
In a widely discussed interview on BBC Radio, Davido emphasized that the meeting was intended to demonstrate to fans that all was well between the two artists and to ensure that his album launch remained free of any drama.
In a clip from the interview shared on Instagram by bwetv.ng, Davido recounted how he connected with a prominent fan, expressing his intention to steer clear of any potential altercations involving Wizkid’s devoted followers, known as FC.
“I reached out to one of my fans, Tomiwa. The guy that kind of gets to everybody. I called him and I said, look my album is coming out on Thursday. Please leave all these Wizkid fans. Please don’t fight anybody.
“I was with Wizkid a couple of days ago and we were not fighting. Don’t fight anybody because I want my album to come out clean, but Tomiwa started fighting and my album leaked two days before the launch. But these fans are amazing as well, they also have positive sides,” he said.
