Former senator and controversial political figure, Dino Melaye, added another feather to his cap on Thursday as he was officially called to the Nigerian Bar in a high-profile ceremony held in Abuja on Thursday.
Melaye, known for his outspoken personality and colorful political career, was seen beaming in his black robe and white wig, joining a host of other newly qualified lawyers in the solemn event that marks the transition from law school graduate to legal practitioner.
The ceremony, organized by the Body of Benchers and the Nigerian Law School, brought together families, dignitaries, and legal luminaries to witness what is considered one of the most significant milestones in Nigeria’s legal profession.
Melaye, who represented Kogi West in the 8th and 9th National Assembly, previously made headlines for returning to academic life after his political tenure.
