DSS Storms Malami’s Abuja Home After Atiku Visit

Operatives of the Department of State Services entered the Abuja residence of former Attorney-General, Abubakar Malami, on Monday, the 23rd of March, 2026.

The security agents moved into the house and asked everyone inside to leave.

The incident took place in Maitama shortly after former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar visited the property.

Atiku spent about an hour at the residence before leaving. A member of his team confirmed the visit.

Another source said DSS operatives had already positioned themselves around the building during the meeting.

They waited until Atiku left before entering the house, People’s Gazette shared.

Tension has grown around political figures linked to the opposition, including Malami, amid pressure to align with the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Some critics argue that President Bola Tinubu is using state pressure to weaken rivals.

The presidency has denied such claims. Malami has also faced ongoing court proceedings tied to corruption allegations.

Supporters of the former minister describe the case as politically driven.

Atiku posted images from his visit earlier in the day, however he did not address the raid carried out by the security outfit.

The Department of State Services has not issued any public response on the incident.
