D’Tigress Stumble As South Korea Secure 77–60 Win In WCQ

Nigeria’s women’s national basketball team, Nigeria women’s national basketball team, suffered a 77–60 defeat to South Korea women’s national basketball team in their second match of the FIBA Women’s World Cup qualification campaign.

D’Tigress struggled to keep pace with the disciplined South Korean side, who controlled large spells of the game with sharp shooting and solid defensive organisation.

South Korea established an early advantage in the opening quarter and maintained their lead throughout the contest, forcing Nigeria to chase the game.

Despite flashes of attacking play from the Nigerian side, the Asian team capitalised on turnovers and fast breaks to extend their lead, eventually sealing a comfortable 17-point victory at the final buzzer.

The defeat marks a setback for D’Tigress in their quest to secure qualification for the Women’s Basketball World Cup, after putting up a spirited effort but falling short against a more clinical opponent.

Nigeria will now shift focus to their remaining qualification fixtures as they look to bounce back and keep their hopes of progressing in the tournament alive.
