Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have arrested 11 suspected internet fraudsters in Auchi, Edo State.
The Head, EFCC Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, said in a statement that the suspects were apprehended by the commission’s Benin zonal office on Monday February 22.
“The suspects are David Martins, Shegun Elijah, Abagolu Samson, Peter Emmanuel, Emmanuel Noble, Timothy Johnson, Omo-Ogbebor Uyioghosa, Ibrahim Mohammed, Mavis Bello, Emmanuel Chibozie and Ayiboye Alade.
“Items recovered from them include laptop computers, mobile phones and a Toyota Camry car.
“The suspects have made useful statements and will be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed,” Uwujaren said.
