EFCC Arrests 12 for Alleged Internet Fraud in Lagos

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Lagos Zonal Directorate 2, have arrested 12 suspected internet fraudsters in Lagos.

The suspects are Jinadu Hammed, Phillip Gift, Ikemefuna Enekwechi, Daniel Edu, Ponmile Salami, and David Uche Akpuru.

Others include Abdurahman Oroan, Eyiaromi Daniel, Sodipo Shinaayo, Confidence Henry Ifechukwudi, Samuel Afuap, and Eko Sylvanus.

The anti-graft agency made this known in a statement shared on its X handle on Thursday.

The statement disclosed that the suspects were arrested in the early hours of Thursday, July 31, during a sting operation on Spar Road, Salem Bus Stop, Lekki, Lagos State.

This followed credible intelligence received by the Commission on the activities of some individuals suspected to be involved in computer-related fraud.
