The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has offered whistleblowers between 2.5 per cent and 5 per cent of assets recovered through credible information on Nigerian wealth allegedly stolen and moved abroad.
EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, announced the incentive on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the 43rd Cambridge International Symposium on Economic Crime in the United Kingdom.
He urged anyone with actionable intelligence on financial or physical assets allegedly taken from Nigeria and concealed overseas to contact the commission.
Olukoyede said the reward was designed to encourage intelligence that could help investigators trace and recover illicit assets.

He disclosed that the EFCC had recovered and secured the forfeiture of cash and other assets worth more than $500 million within his first three years in office.
Citing major cases, he said the commission had secured the forfeiture of about 753 housing units linked to former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele.
He also said 57 properties had been traced to former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, with 48 already forfeited.
The 43rd Cambridge symposium, holding from August 23 to 30, 2026, at Jesus College, Cambridge, focuses on economic crime, asset recovery and the rule of law.
Olukoyede said stronger public intelligence and international cooperation remained critical to recovering Nigerian assets concealed in foreign jurisdictions.
