…as Oyebanji beats PDP’s Kolawole in Fayose’s council
Ruling All Progressives Congress has been declared winner of the just-concluded governorship election in seven Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Ekiti State.
From the results announced at the LGA collation centres, APC’s Abiodun Oyebanji won in Ikere, Emure, Ekiti South West, Ekiti West, Oye , Irepodun/Ifelodun and Ise/Orun local government areas.
With this development, APC candidate, Oyebanji, has taken an early lead in the Ekiti governorship election.
Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship candidate, Bisi Kolawole, won in only Efon Alaye LGA.
He was, however, beaten by the APC candidate in Irepodun/Ifelodun, the LGA of his godfather, Ayo Fayose.
Social Democratic Party’s Segun Oni has yet to win a single LGA.
