Elon Musk, at the helm of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has boldly asserted that the Department of Education “no longer exists.”
This statement follows a controversial move by DOGE officials, who reportedly gained access to “administrator” email accounts within the Department of Education.
The development has sparked fierce backlash from American activists and lawmakers, with Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost emerging as one of the most vocal critics.
Alejandro recently posted a video from the Department of Education’s office, alleging that DOGE officials were actively preventing members of Congress from entering the premises.
He further condemned DOGE’s access to sensitive information, labeling it “illegal.”

In response to the criticism, Musk remained unwavering, stating, “No such department exists in the federal government,” as reported by MSNBC.
This upheaval unfolds against the backdrop of U.S. President Donald Trump’s staunch support for Musk and DOGE.
Recall that the president had empowered them to slash government spending across various agencies, including the Department of Education, in a bid to uncover and eliminate fraudulent expenditures amounting to hundreds of billions of dollars.
