According to reports, former BBNaija participant Eric Akhigbe was detained for allegedly defrauding individuals by promising them spots in next BBNaija season.
The reality star, according to rumors gathering steam, has allegedly been extorting large sums of money from individuals while promising them spots in the BBN house.
According to reports, the reality TV personality was detained in the UK.
An up-and-coming artist, Baby C, called out Eric earlier this year for defrauding her with a bogus BBN slot. She claimed that the ex-BBNaija housemate conned her millions of naira on social media.
According to the claims, Baby C attempted to enter the BBNaija home by paying N5.3 million to an ex-housemate, but the arrangement fell through.
She called him a con artist and revealed that the reality star had carried out the scam with assistance from a different individual who was associated with Multichoice.
The singer revealed images of her conversations with Eric both before and after realizing her money was vanished.
Baby C later revealed that the BBNaija celebrity who conned her was Eric in an exclusive interview with Legit.ng.
She said, “Eric was my friend. We were in the same department at Unilag, and we were close to an extent. When he got the final confirmation that he was going to be in the house, I was one of the first people he called and asked me to support him. I formed a group and raised funds for his campaign.”
Neither the BBN Star or his legal correspondents are yet to respond to the claims, and his arrest is not yet confirmed.
Akhigbe, 25, hails from Edo State. He identifies himself as an enthusiast for fitness, competition, and enjoyment, a restrained person who waits before displaying his wild side.
He was one of the BBN Season five Lockdown edition housemates.
