A former Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Kehinde Subair, has died at the age of 60.
Though the exact cause of his death remains unclear, sources confirm that he passed away shortly after breaking his Ramadan fast in the United Kingdom.
A senior member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, who spoke on condition of anonymity, described his passing as a significant loss. “Subair died in the UK just seven days before his 60th birthday. He will surely be missed by the party,” the source said.
Confirming the development, the Publicity Secretary of the APC in Oyo, Wale Sadare, stated, “Yes, he is dead, confirmed. But I cannot talk too much now because I am currently in a studio.”

Subair was a key figure in the APC and held various leadership roles within the party. He served two terms in the Oyo State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2019, where he was the Majority Leader.
His death comes as a shock to the political community, leaving many mourning the loss of a seasoned lawmaker and dedicated public servant.
