Wife of former President Shehu Shagari, Hajiya Hazida, is dead.
The grandson of late Shagari, Bello Bala Shagari, announced her death on his Facebook page on Thursday.
He said that she died following COVID-19 complications around 3:00 am on Thursday in Gwagwalada Isolation Centre.
According him, Hazida, 80, will be buried later on Thursday at 4:00 pm according to Islamic rites.
