Josephine Adeh, the police public relations officer (PPRO) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has advised women to value their self-worth and not compromise their dignity for the sake of a relationship title.
While encouraging women to be mindful of their emotional and financial independence, she emphasized that love, while beautiful, must be approached with wisdom.
In a post shared on X, Adeh warned that relationships founded on someone else’s pain may not endure in the long run.
She stressed the importance of recognizing patterns in relationships, noting that a man who easily moves on from one woman to another is likely to repeat the behavior.
“How he treats women reflects his character. His children, if any, are watching, and so is the world,” she wrote.

She further urged women not to celebrate too soon if a man leaves someone else for them, as the same fate could befall them in the future.
“Protect your heart, your finances, and your future. Don’t mistake temporary passion for lasting love. Love is sweet, but wisdom is necessary,” Adeh advised.
Her message comes in the wake of Edo state lawmaker Natasha Osawaru updating her Instagram bio to reflect the surname of Nigerian music icon 2Baba.
Osawaru made headlines earlier this year after the singer proposed to her following his separation from Annie Idibia.
Adeh’s remarks have since ignited discussions on social media, with many echoing her call for women to prioritize their self-respect in relationships.
