The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, is said to have concluded plan to drop some members of his cabinet.
The cabinet the governor plans to sack, are allegedly hobnobbing with the members of the opposition parties ahead of the 2023 general election.
FirstNews gathered that some of the alleged commissioners and special advisers are core loyalists of some of the political leaders in the state whose relationship with Governor. Makinde had gone sour.
The governor, as reliably informed, is no longer comfortable of having them as members of his cabinet.
Though some of them had openly pledged their loyalties to the governor, but that has not been enough to convince him of their loyalties and supports.
Our findings revealed that some of them are now secretly meeting with the leadership of the All Progressives Congress with a sole aim of forming alliance to oust Governor makinde in 2023.
It would be recalled the State Commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun recently denied being part of the meeting the Zenith Labour Party had with the APC.
At a press conference at the Press Centre, Agodi, Ibadan, Olatunbosun had described the news as fake and unfounded.
He said that he was at Kings FM domiciled at Premier Hotel to grant an interview not for any political meetings.
