Federal Government has frozen the bank accounts of popular Yoruba activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho.
FirstNews learnt that the Central Bank of Nigeria recently placed a Post-No-Debit order on Igboho’s accounts with various commercial banks in the country.
But while confirming the development, Igboho warned the Federal Government to immediately unfreeze his bank accounts or risk massive protests in the South-West.
He said his bank accounts were frozen because some people were collecting donations on his behalf.
Igboho, however, insisted he had no hand in the said donations.
The activist, who had given Fulani herdsmen a knock off in Oyo and Ogun states, further made it clear he was determined to end criminality in the region.
He said, “They have frozen my bank accounts because I’m fighting a just cause. I know Yoruba people are behind me.
“I will not relent. I must achieve my aims by putting an end to criminalities in Yorubaland.
“If they refuse to release my accounts, there will be serious protests across the South-West.
“The Yoruba are living in fear. They are afraid that the killer-herdsmen might attack them.”
