Federal Government, on Wednesday maintained silence over the exact date President Muhammadu Buhari will return to Nigeria from London, the United Kingdom.
Buhari, who left Abuja on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 for a routine medical checkup, is expected to return to Nigeria this week.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, had in a statement penultimate Monday specifically announced Buhari’s arrival date to be the second week of April 2021.
“He is due back in the country during the second week of April 2021,” the statement said.
But the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, dodged question about the exact date the President will return this week from his medical trip to London.
“Today is Wednesday, this week finishes on Saturday.
“So, what’s the big issue in that one?”, Mohammed told State House reporters after Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Mohammed said the government was currently more concerned with the issue of insecurity rocking the country.
