The Federal Government has released the 2026/2027 admission list for candidates offered placement into Junior Secondary School One (JSS1) in Federal Unity Colleges nationwide.
The Federal Ministry of Education announced the release on Monday, August 24, 2026, following the 2026 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE).
Parents and guardians can check their wards’ placement on the ministry’s online posting portal using the candidate’s NCEE registration or examination number. Successful candidates can print their admission slips showing their assigned colleges and placement details.

The NCEE was conducted on June 6 for prospective JSS1 entrants. Of the 60,357 candidates who registered, 56,950 sat for the examination across Nigeria, with additional centres in Benin Republic and Togo. A total of 3,407 candidates were absent.
Ten candidates jointly recorded the highest score of 202 out of 210, according to the results released in July.
The latest exercise follows the ministry’s move to automate Unity School admissions. In August 2025, it introduced an online placement system for JSS1 admission into 80 conventional Federal Unity Colleges to improve transparency, efficiency and compliance with schools’ capacity limits.
Parents and guardians are advised to confirm placements, print admission slips and complete the required admission formalities at the assigned colleges.
