FIFA has imposed a series of suspensions and financial penalties on players involved in the post-match clash between Argentina and Spain on Friday.
Argentina midfielder Leandro Paredes received the heaviest punishment, with FIFA handing him a 10-match suspension and a $90,000 fine.
Fellow Argentine player Nahuel Molina was also hit with a seven-game ban and a $90,000 fine, while Thiago Almada received a one-match suspension and a $30,000 penalty.

Argentina’s Ayala was handed a three-match ban alongside a $30,000 fine.
For Spain, Barcelona midfielder Gavi was suspended for one international match and fined $30,000.
The sanctions will apply specifically to national team matches, meaning the affected players will miss future fixtures for their respective countries during the period of their suspensions.
Paredes’ 10-match ban stands out as the most severe punishment issued by FIFA over the incident, potentially ruling him out of a significant number of Argentina’s upcoming international fixtures.
