A fire broke out Thursday morning at the seven-storey AG Leventis building, Iddo House, in Iddo, Lagos, causing significant property damage.
The fire, which started around 11 a.m., affected the archive room on the first floor, approximately 108 square meters in size. The building, occupied by Nigeria Bottling Company PLC, was partially destroyed.
Preliminary investigations suggest the fire may have been caused by self-ignition due to rising temperatures in the confined space.
