SOJI AJIBOLA, Ibadan
The ancient city of Ibadan has recorded another fire incident at the popular Bodija plank market otherwise known as Bodija Iso Pako in Ibadan North Local Government area.
The incident occurred barely two weeks after a similar incident happened at the Agodi gate Auto spare parts market in Ibadan.
Traders, as reliably informed, had left the market earlier for the yearly Ramadan fast which started on Tuesday but some of them were shocked when they received a distress call that the entire market was on fire.
One of the traders, Alhaji Raimi Ajao said he was yet to come out of the shock as he just got delivery of planks running into thousands of naira.
He said the cause of the incident could not be ascertained, adding that some of his colleagues are blaming it on power surge.

He, however, appealed to the State governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde to come to their aids, as according to him, the losses are enormous.
