First News to Release Part Two of Pa Clark’s Documentary, “The Final Journey”

Outpouring of tributes from prominent Nigerians continued in the second part of the special documentary on the departed ijaw leader and nationalist, Pa Edwin Clark which would be aired on Sunday May 18, 2025 on Arise News by 7.30pm.

The documentary titled “The final journey” was produced by First News and would also be hosted on their YouTube channel.

The final phase of the two part series documentary also highlighted the many parts of the deceased nonagenarian who was finally laid to rest on May 13 in his hometown of Kiagbodo in Delta State.

The various activities across the country that culminated in the final burial of the prominent activist and strong advocate for justice were also captured in the latest and final episode of the documentary.

In a statement on Friday, Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of First News, Dr Daniel Iworiso-Markson, said it was a privilege and honour to have put together the documentary to celebrate a legend like the late Pa Clark and hearing the story of the evolution of his life.

Iworiso-Markson eulogized the Bayelsa State Government for the massive support in the success of the production of the 30-minute documentary and particularly, commended the state governor, Senator Douye Diri, for his incredible assistance and contributions in ensuring that the ijaw icon was given a befitting burial deserving of a man of his status.

“It was a great privilege for us to put the documentary together. As an organization, the documentary offered us the rare opportunity to document and honour the memory of Pa E.K Clark, who was a national treasure and icon.

“The documentary is a testament to Pa Clark’s enduring legacy, and First News is proud to have played a role in celebrating his life and contributions to Nigeria.”

The First News publisher again expressed his appreciation to Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and his Rivers State counterpart, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, the Minister of State Petroleum Resources, Oil, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri and the Group CEO of Century Group, Ken Etete for their support and encouragement.
