Five Nigerians Arrested for Stealing Farm Electrical Equipment in Libya

The Libyan authorities have arrested five Nigerians for allegedly stealing electrical equipment from a farm in Sabha.

The Migrant Rescue Watch disclosed this in a statement shared on its social media account on Monday.

According to the post, the suspects were apprehended by officers from the Al-Qahira Police Department on Sunday.

The statement read, “#Libya 25.05.25 – Al-Qahira Police Dept. (Sabha) arrested 5 #migrants of Nigerian nationality for theft of electrical equipment from a farm.

“All referred to public prosecution for legal action. #migrantcrisis #DontTakeToTheSea #seenotrettung #Frontex.”

The statement noted that all five individuals had been referred to public prosecution for further legal action.
