Former Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji, is dead.
Family sources and close associates confirmed that the elder statesman died on Thursday morning at a hospital in Abuja after an illness.
Although the exact cause of death was not immediately disclosed, a source familiar with the development said the former diplomat had been undergoing medical treatment before his passing.
