Former Ondo NMA chair, Adeyeri, dies of COVID-19

A former chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association in Ondo State, Dr Michael Adeyeri, died of COVID-19 on Thursday.

Adeyeri was said to have died in his private hospital at the Alagbaka area of Akure, the state capital, after attending to a patient.

It was also said that the former NMA chairman was earlier rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Owo after he developed symptoms of the virus.

Current NMA Chairman in the state, Dr Wale Oke, confirmed Adeyeri’s death to journalists on Thursday.

The former NMA chairman passed on barely one week after the state Commissioner for Health, Dr Wahab Adegbenro, died of the same virus.
