From Politics to Passion: Justin Trudeau, Katy Perry’s Yacht Kiss Sets Internet Ablaze

Pop star Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have sparked fresh dating rumours after being photographed sharing an affectionate kiss aboard Perry’s private yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara, California.

The photos, published by Page Six on Saturday, October 11, 2025, were reportedly taken in late September by a tourist on a nearby whale-watching boat.

In the images, Perry is seen wearing a black swimsuit, while Trudeau, shirtless and in denim jeans, leans in to kiss her as they lounge on the yacht’s deck.

An eyewitness quoted by the outlet said he only recognised Trudeau after spotting his distinctive arm tattoo.

“I didn’t realise who she was with until I saw the tattoo on his arm, that’s when I knew it was Justin Trudeau,” the source said.

Neither Perry nor Trudeau has commented publicly on the photos or the nature of their relationship.

Reports indicate that the pair have remained close since July 2025, when they were seen dining together in Montreal.

Trudeau was also spotted attending one of Perry’s concerts in Canada shortly after.

Trudeau, who led Canada from 2015 to 2025, announced his separation from Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in August 2023, after 18 years of marriage.

The former couple share three children: Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien.

The yacht photos have since gone viral, dominating social media trends and fueling speculation about a budding romance between the pop superstar and the ex-Prime Minister .
