The Federal Road Safety Corps has warned applicants in its 2026 recruitment exercise to ignore a fake notice asking unsuccessful candidates to appear at FRSC camps for verification.
The Corps said the notice, which circulated on social media, falsely directed applicants who were not shortlisted or had not received invitation messages to report to the nearest FRSC camp by September 25, 2026.
In a statement posted on its X handle on Sunday, the agency said it had no connection with the publication.
It said, “The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has categorically disowned a viral notice circulating on social media directing applicants who were not shortlisted or did not receive invitation messages to report to the nearest FRSC camp for verification on or before 25 September 2026. The notice is fake, unauthorised and should be disregarded.”
The Corps maintained that no instruction had been issued for applicants to visit its offices, camps or training institutions for the purported verification exercise.
“The public is advised to rely only on official FRSC communication channels for information concerning the 2026 recruitment exercise,” it said.

The FRSC commenced its nationwide 2026 recruitment exercise in July, opening applications for qualified Nigerians across three cadres: the Officer Cadre, including Superintendent Route Commander, Route Commander/Deputy Route Commander and Assistant Route Commander; the Marshal Inspectorate Cadre; and the Road Marshal Assistant Cadre.
The recruitment portal currently indicates that applications have closed, while applicants who have already applied are expected to receive further communication about subsequent stages of the process.
The Corps also cautioned candidates against sending money, disclosing sensitive personal details or accessing links shared by individuals claiming to have connections to the recruitment process.
It warned that anyone exploiting the exercise to deceive or defraud members of the public would be handed over to the relevant law-enforcement authorities.
The FRSC therefore urged applicants and members of the public to disregard the circulating notice and obtain recruitment updates only through its authorised communication channels.
