Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has celebrated her birthday, expressing gratitude to God for His faithfulness and the various experiences that have shaped her life and career.
Akindele shared the message alongside a series of photographs on her Instagram page on Monday as she marked another year.
Reflecting on her journey, the actress said she was grateful to God for everything He had done, was doing and would yet do in her life.
“My heart is full of gratitude to God for all He has done, all He is doing, and all that is still to come,” she wrote.
Akindele said the different seasons of her life, including her successes, mistakes, lessons and challenges, had strengthened her and helped her become better.
“Through every season, every lesson, every win, every mistake and every challenge, God has remained my strength and my shield. Even in moments when I have fallen short, He has given me the grace to rise, learn, keep going and become better,” she said.
The actress also revealed her birthday prayer, asking God for good health, long life, peace and the grace to continue living a purposeful life.
“Today, my prayer is simple. That God blesses me with good health, long life, peace and the grace to keep walking in purpose,” she stated.
Beyond her personal aspirations, Akindele said she hoped her life would continue to have a positive impact on others.
She expressed her desire to touch more lives, open opportunities, nurture talents and help others fulfil their potential.
