Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, on Thursday ordered killer herdsmen to vacate the Southwest region of the country or face a serious consequence.
According to him, failure to heed to his warning will amount to a full wrath of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC).
Adam’s warning was coming following the invasion of Professor Wole Soyinka’s Ijegba residence by the herdsmen.
In a statement by his spokesperson, the Yoruba Generalissimo, said that the move by the herders had posed a big threat on Yorubaland.
He added that intelligence reports available to him showed that the criminal herdsmen had moved from Ibarapa in Oyo State to Yewa in Ogun State.
Adams also expressed his displeasure over President Muhammadu Buhari’s disposition towards the security situation in the Southwest.
“We thank God that the recent encroachment on Prof’s residence failed. The fundamental problem in this country is that we have a President that seems to be complacent on serious issues.
“It is in our own interest to continue to raise our voices against the unprecedented threats to the southwest region.”
He also implored the Southwest governors to begin quick recruitment of the OPC men into the Amotekun outfit.
